Myofascial release is a hands-on technique that focuses on the fascia—the connective tissue that wraps and supports your muscles. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can contribute to stiffness, pulling sensations, and reduced range of motion. At Adhesion Freedom in Waite Park,, myofascial release sessions are customized to help your body move more freely and feel more comfortable.
Fascia is a web-like connective tissue that surrounds muscles, nerves, and joints. Ideally, it glides smoothly as you move. But stress, injury, inflammation, repetitive movement, or long periods of sitting can cause areas to feel “stuck” or less elastic—sometimes showing up as pain far from the original restriction.
Common signs of fascial restriction:
Feels like a constant pull or “band”
Especially in shoulders, hips, or spine
The same spots keep returning
Other joints/muscles overwork to make up for restriction
We start by learning what you’re feeling and how it affects your day (or training). Then we look at posture, movement, and common restriction points to identify where fascia may be limiting motion.
Myofascial release often uses slower, more deliberate contact than a traditional massage. The goal is to reduce restriction and restore glide—helping your body feel less guarded and more mobile.
To help your body hold onto improvements, we may recommend simple mobility work, breathing strategies, hydration/recovery tips, and follow-up timing based on your goals.
“I came in feeling stiff and restricted, and after a few sessions I felt lighter, looser, and much more comfortable in my body. Sydney has an incredible ability to find the areas that need the most attention.”
